Cheat or Repeat is a short indie horror game where you play as a student who didn’t study and must secretly use your phone to cheat during exams. Unlike many horror games that rely on jump scares, this one builds tension through stealth, timing, and the constant fear of being caught—which feels surprisingly intense.
Objective: Answer 10 questions in 10 minutes without getting caught
Controls:
Core loop: check paper → open phone → find answer → hide before teacher arrives
1. Don’t spam your phone—learn teacher movement patterns
Teachers don’t move completely randomly. After a while, you’ll notice patrol patterns.
→ Only check your phone when they’re clearly far or turned away.
2. Accuracy matters more than speed when typing
Typing fast but wrong slows you down more.
→ Stay calm and type cleanly to avoid getting stuck mid-search.
3. Always stay ready to look around
Keep your mouse ready. If something feels off, quickly scan the room instead of guessing.
4. If a teacher behaves strangely, stare at them
There’s a weird mechanic: sometimes teachers freeze or appear oddly.
→ Looking directly at them for a moment can make them disappear.
5. Don’t aim for perfect answers
You can still pass with a few mistakes.
→ Focus on survival and timing, not perfection.

Comparison:
Unlike Baldi’s Basics (more puzzle and chase focused), Cheat or Repeat is about micro-decisions under pressure every second.
