1 in 8 Billion is a unique text-based Simulation Games brought to life by independent developer Jin Hwi-eus. Unlike standard games focused on wealth or fame, this online game explores themes of fate, survival, and inequality worldwide. Each life starts with a fortunate roll of fate that governs factors such as the player's gender, where they are born, and the type of family they have.
The game is based on actual statistics of demography and socioeconomic status and focuses on how access to medical services, education, and family resources shapes one's future. The mission and message of the game are carried out with a simple presentation and an informal approach.
Launch the 1 in 8 Billion game and watch as fate decides the circumstances of your birth. You cannot dictate where you will be born and to whom you will be born, but rather observe how the environment affects your life.
By taking advantage of the time-traveling option of the game, you can relive your existence in various stages of life. Take a good look at how different factors, including education, wealth, and health care, influence your life chances. The point is not to obtain high scores or to be a winner, but to experience various situations that show the disparities that exist in human life.
Every new start shows that not all people have equal opportunities. Play 1 in 8 Billion Online to discover the impact of luck on the existence of individuals.
